The above TV is 7 years old and has recently developed a fault. When watching the TV, intermittently the screen will go blank, the sound is still audible however the screen is completely black. If you switch the tv off, wait 30 secs then re-start, the picture returns. The problem is infrequent and there seems to be no set pattern as to when the problem occurs. On a typical nights viewing I have to re-start the set once maybe twice. I have been told that this is due to a circuit board within the set, that needs replacing. Otherwise the TV is in great condition and everything else works as new. I plan to purchase a new TV so I don't want the expense of repairing the TV. The set would be ideal for parts or for someone who has knowledge of TV repairs. Due to the size and weight, it is for collection only.
